Re: SALARIES FOR MPS,SENATORS,GOVERNORS IN NEW DISPENSATION

There is a lot of money going to waste and lining private pockets. If we only stop triton, maize, budget error, anglo-leasing, grand regency, money for elderly, goldernberg, roads construction like scandals etc, we would pay these salaries without any problem.

Omtatah, thanks.we have to be the proverbial early bird.we catch them early before they bulldoze their selfish and glutoness will on us. until we address the issue of MPs salaries and indeed all public officials, we will continue witnessing hooliganism during campaigns, corruption in all facets of our economy, and widespread unemployment. God for us.

Dear Molly,

Nothing is being left to chance.

Together with 16 others, I am in the High Court before a three judge bench on September 28 and 29, 2010. Among the issues, we want the High Court to determine both the legitimacy and legality of the Justice Cockar and Justice Akiwumi Reports that the MPs have used (plan to use) to give themselves the obscene pay hikes. The two reports are the swamp in which the mosquitos and snakes hatch. We must drain it. Otherwise, they will be used to distort the work of the Salaries Commission (that is to be established under the new Constitution) and we might never see Salaries and allowances for these characters coming down.

Please refer to the attached notification. I am looking for cash to advertise it in the media, notifying all MPs since 2003 to be aware of the case since they are likely to be affected negatively.

Among the prayers is that the High Court orders a refund of some of the money (e.g. 5000/= sitting allowance and 1,500,000/= severance allowance) they have been looting from us, and they also return of the vehicles they were given to use at the beginning of their term but never surrendered when they came to to end of the 9th Parliament. We also want Article 210 of the new Constitution applied immediately to the 10th Parliament. Please refer to www.kejude.org for and old version of the case.

Before anybody talks of taxing Kenyan's an extra dime to meet the costs of the new bureaucracy, salaries and allowances have to be reviewed downwards and have to be harmonised with the lowest Government wage.

Lawyers defending the MPs' pay are Mr. Phiroze Nowrojee and Mr. Paul Muite.
My lawyer is Mr. Kibe Mungai.

TUTAKANYAGANA if need be. The serpent's egg must not be allowed to hatch in the new order.

Regards,

Omtatah

Members, i am not an activist but one thing i supported strongly and morally was the demonstration by kenyans, including civil societies, media on obnoxious taxfree salaries for MPs. with new katiba, i was expecting that civil society would be in the forefront proposing how much legislators and governers should be paid, just as they are busy voicing issues on vetting of judges.

Wapi Omtatah na wengine?? the time is 'sasa hivi' to re-energize campign to set renumenaration for this people. my proposal is that they should be given a taxable salary of Ksh 100,000 including all allowance so that whenever they claim to represent kenya's, they truely relate to the poor salaries kenyan gets, widepsread unemployment, and numerous other suffering we go thro'.

NGOs, civil socities, Okiya, Media, please take up the matter becasue already, you can see MPs are positioning themselves in counties, not to go and serve kenyans but to go and enrich themselves. let them know hii kazi niya kujitolea and not employment. they should even enlist themselves by signing that they are willing to work for kenyans for free.

who supports me on this?? pls register by replying and sambazaring this campign.

my '2 'cents

Molly
