Jonathan!
Thanks for your precipt. One plea i have with you, please, I dont subsribe to the same 'prophet' as you do. If you regard anyone as a prophet, you may have done the neccessary confirmation to that effect. Even the bible tells us to test every prophet. For me, i have my own misgivings. You would save me alot of embarrassment if you refer to them as your prophets and not our prophets. The only person i can confidently vouch for is my pastor and im proud of him. Let me save you a serious discourse on your contents as of now.

That is ok. Recently I did a small writeup on what I was hearing and reading. I have come to conclude that no one except the Citizen Media who are also biased to YES, are doing a civic education. Even the MPs do not understand the document well.
We may need to get serious and get honest, unbiased civic lectuerers to help every one, not camping on Land, Kadhi, etc. issues.
Anyway, lets read what I have and then we develop a clean critical debate onthe same in all honesty.

Sungu, lets us not lie to kenyans we the educated. The draft is bad and if you are keen on it please read the Nation dated 14th July. Already James Finlay have noticed the dangers in the draft and are now selling 600ha of land to their former owners(the Kipsigs community in Chemamul and Bondet tea estate) who were evicted by whitesettlers and never compensated.i would say YES for Katiba but the way it might be interpreted esp on land might take us back and we might not get where we are. for you and the diaspora i know you might not be affected but my friend please know thatr Kibunjah and team will not have the power to control chaos, Rem 2007/08 mayhem , Kibaki had the police and army but he didnt stop the chaos. I rem i personnaly witnessed individuals burning police stations, Tea factories and demolishing estate camps. where were the pro-refoirmists at that time. we need to tread carefully in matters of constitutional interpretation rather than just staying far from fire and supplying firewood. We rather listen to dissenting voices, discuss and then we all pass the document as kenyans. Haraka haraka will never heal us at all.i like the way one colleague here pointed out that we were busy thropwing dirt to Moi pre 2003 ony to cry foul at the Narc goivernement when Shikuku, Isac Ruto and team were teargassed in Uhuru park when they demanded KATIBA. i saw several locals calling the name of Moi and that he should come back to lead.Power is dangerous my brother and we better watch keenly.KubestoOn Fri, Jul 16, 2010 at 10:24 AM, otieno sungu <sunoti@yahoo.com> wrote:

Amenya, the constitution may not be 100% parse excellent, but many individuals from all over Kenya, believe that for the sake of the Kenya, urgent reforms are needed.
The crucial requirements of these reforms have been met by the proposed Constitution. Supporters of the KATIBA may have different reasons why this project must be passed but one thing is clear: we need a new constitution.
Yes proponents all believe that if the proposed Kenya Constitution is ratified the positive consequences outnumber the negative aspects. Therefore we consider this proposal as productive to the future of Kenya and recommend that the citizens of this lovely Nation say 'YES' to this Constitution.
A 'YES' would not be the end of the KENYA, but the start of a fruitful debate along the lines of the of a best constitution, that would bring the Kenya closer to its citizens
SAY YES TO KATIBA

I have been struggling with my mind about this thing we call "Constitution" on what is good and bad in current constitution and then what will be good and bad in proposed constitution?.
This is likely to remain a puzzle just like when I had confined my wisdom that 1plus 1 is two but only to later in my higher studies I have humbled myself to notice that 1+1 can be any value from 2 to 4 to anything based on which angle you may be looking from.
The excitement that new constitution when passed will herald Kenya to be among fast developing countries still to me will remain mystery as I search a viable solution
When we voted out Kanu and replaced it with NARC which we assumed will deliver us to promised democracy land but we all saw what happened.
NARC promised us a new constitution in 100 days nothing happened
It is during NARC regime that we witnessed highest election violence ever to have been witnessed in Kenyan history.
Will new constitution stop corruption?
Will new constitution stop tribalism?
Will new constitution improve living standards of Kenyans?
