True
That’s doing what you believe in not what others believe in.
Any way what’s Waragi- UG and Konyagi- TZ for you- all these are Changaa brewed under control conditions – its only in Kenya that people think changaa is bad- and true the quality depends on the purity of the ingredients.

True story - I can vouch for it coz I've met this mom and her 3 kids.
She is doing amazing business with the liquid soap and has even become an employer!!!
People need to be given a 2nd chance and assisted to "get back on their feet."
Try it, it definately pays off, and is a win-win situation for both parties!!

Maurice
Maurice, You have made my day. One time i visited a family where they could not afford even to buy pencil for their school going children. The mother was in tears when she was narrating the story of changaa brewig to me. She used to brew the changaa at night, and then sell at whole sale durig the day. i decided to spend a night in her house and help her with what she was doing. The process was amazing. It was true distillation but she told me the quality depends on what you use as the ingredients. The solutio which came out of it was so clear just like wine or spirit. She told me she canot sell it like that because it was too concentrated and so she added water but nothing else. She went to sleep at 2am and was up at 5am to go to distribute. I spent 2 days in her house but by the time i left i was so exulsted. For me it was so sympathetic not because of brewing changaa but because she had to spend most of her night hours doing this. This was 2007. 2008 i sponsered the 3 children and they joined a boading school just to see if this lady could do a better job which could make her at least sleep. i trained her how to make liquid soap, sythetic juices, shampoos and conditioners and how to make simple candles and sell. She had alot of customers on liquid soap and this is what she concentrated on but still with no license . During this time i paid for medical insurance for the 3 children to ensure she had enough psychological rest. In 2009 May, i registered for her the coumpany and to day believe it or not, this lady has taken full responsibily of her family and now one of the prominent business people in that area. Her first and second born are still in boarding school and good ones while her last born is in an executive day school where she is taken by the school bus morning and evening. She is selling the liquid soap like hot cake. She has 3 employees who do the distribution of her products and she pays them reasonably because i have never heard them complain.
What lesson did i learn from this family? Sometimes people do what they do because they have no alternative. Given help, some of these people can become very productive members of society. For those who have never tasted changaa, it is just spirit like any other. For me i used to take it with soda as you can do with wines and spirits. The taste is just the same.NB: Buy it from a person you know is making with correct ingredients. It is mainly made from fermented sorghum, millet, or maize.

Rosie,
Brewing Chang'aa is my specialty and anyone who wants to take up that profession is welcome to consult with me. Is it legal in Kenya though? 'Cause if it ain't then I won't be involved.
Making Chang'aa can be a profit making venture especially if done legally. We can sell Chang'aa all over the world. I am a Chemical Engineer and I understand the concerns of Methanol contamination of the Ethanol in Chang'aa. Anyone willing to put up capital to establish a legal Chang'aa plant will get my ears.

MBURI
Thanks for your nice alternative therapy with vodka. How much does it cost? i imagine i will use several litters for soaking my leg and this is why i would like to know the price. What is the active ingredient here?. If it is alcohol, then i can simply go for spirit or i can make changaa because its cheaper. Brewing 20 litters of Changaa would take me few hours and would be much cheaper than vodkar. What do you think guys. please dont tell me changaa is a sin. Brewing Changaa or vodika i am sure is the same because its all distillation process. I have never dealt with VODKA BUT I HAVE DEALT WITH CHANGAA brewing. If you want changaa contact me on
Rose
+2547226721 but remember you will not arrest me unless for another reason but not because i am brewing changaa instead of vodka
