What's the solution?

Lets vote the new constitution. Thats our only hope.

Let us condemn the vice but not the tribe. Hon. Rutto should come up with guidelines and policies that guide establishments of higher learning in terms of recruitment and admission. It is not right to employ people from one community especially when referring to universities and middle level colleges. I would suggest that even primary and secondary schools should kill the practise. It is only when we do this shall we succeed in slowly eradicating tribalism. Even if all the kales, kyuks, luos or kamba teachers or lecturers are qualified, there is need to blend them. It is unfortunate that i am seeing some who have scores to settle with kales writing badly on the kalenjin tribe. This is not a vice that is practised by the kales only. It cuts across all tribes. We need to be careful when contributing so that we do not hurt the feelings of other people and bring out the bad side in them.

Tribalism in kenya must be condemned in every way. It's unbelievable what we read here and in online editions of national paper. Even though this is a continent wide problem, Kenya seems to lead in this arena quite abit. We must try and stop this trend for the sake of future generations. One way we do that is to focus on leaders who have strong national affliations and to push them towards 2012 leadership capacity. Anybody who sponsonsored murder in 2007 - 2008 elections, should not be recognized. Kenya ni yetu!

They are only replicating and maintaining what they were taught by Baba Moi. Remember at one time over 80% of the District Commissioners and senior police officers had names like Kirui Kepngetich, Cheboi, Yator etc. Look at the opponents of the proposed constitution one can easily thing it is being made for them only. Very strange indeed. Not that Chebois are not equally our brothers, but our brother from Kuria is simply not happy because he was moved from a full ministerial post to that of an Assistant. Hence, he is merely disgruntled and he thinks time to avenge is now by opposing his imaginary enemies, unfortunately he is only scoring in his own goal. For this beloved country of ours to be a haven for us all please please let us shed tribalism.this will ensure we support issue minded persons rather than tribal and sycophancy.

We should bring more of this into the open. By that, it atleast it will shame some people and at the end of the day some changes will be effected!

Yep, this is EMBARASSING! My local primary school is even better. I wish there is a law that state that the chain of command in any public and semi-public is not from the same tribe. This is worst when it is an institution of higher learning, irrespective of its location.

Something should be done ASAP.

Unlike KEMU, now look at the Top Management at Eldoret Polytechnic:
1. Cleophas Lang'at - Principal
2. Daniel Mutai - Deputy Principal
3. Isaac K K Kitach - Registrar
4. Josephat Kipkemboi - - Dean of Students
5. Kirwa S Bitok - Finance Officer
6. Kenneth K Chelimo - Deputy Registrar
