My current dentist has actually referred me to an orthodontist. Why? Apparently the damage on my teeth requires an expert and need I say a fortune. He reckons, that the removal of my 3 back teeth has caused such gaps as a result of teeth shift that a real job is required to align them.. He was appalled that my previous visit to dentists for toothaches had only one solution…remove. But what shocked me is when he added " Most of my Kenyan clients have this problem, don't Kenyan dentists offer any other solution before resulting to teeth removal?' and who should advise us better than dentists that a good smile is worth preserving or working for? Are our Kenyan dentists too quick to remove our teeth or was that then and things have changed now?
