It is Kibaki who threw the first arsenal at Moi's persona; Moi is busy campaigning on issues we all need to look at after 4th August. If all Kenyans have rights, then he too has them; being an ex-president does not take away these rights.

If you go by history, it's Moi who's out of line. Ex-Presidents do not undermine sitting Presidents. Look at the American history for example and you'll find out.

So well articulated Lister; Presidency is a symbol of unity and therefore Kibaki 's attack on Moi's persona was unwarranted. Our leadership should be issue based, they may need to borrow heavily from Ulaya; but, is there any single campaign here or elsewhere where individuals persona never comes under scrutiny?

Yes Moi misruled, but do you realise he was not alone? our current president was his deputy for 10 years!!! Saitoti was his deputy for 12 years!! Mutula was his lawyer!!! Kalonzo was a minister all that time!! Raila was also minister at one time!! the list is long, and those were his henchmen!!!! so you should infact be talking about the leadership we have today but because he is on the opposing side you choose to zero in on Moi alone!!
 
Let me correct you, it was not only in Nyanza where industries collapsed, it was all over the country, farming also went down, infra-structure collapsed and many bad things happened. We are all agreed Moi failed, but those who served under him were not saints either!!! they participated in the looting too!! and they are the same guys  attacking Moi now. Remember the story of mugumu tree? 
 
Again, whatever Moi may have done, does not mean he looses his rights now!!

Anyone who thinks well of Moi is not being honest. Moi and his hench men destroyed this country totally.
 
We are where we are because of his misrule, Why lie!!!! All industries especially in Nyanza shut down, our health care, education systems were eroded.
 
Plundering of public land ,institutions is a painful story. Every peice of public land was sold , even public toilets, kenyans were never suppose to answer to calls of nature away from their homes.
 
Not mentioning entrenchment of corruption, tribalism and nepotism.
 
Moi created an ungovernable state.
 
How can we forget the torture chambers where our brothers and sisters lost their lives, their dignity, their limbs etc,
 
How can one forget?
 
No!!!! We forgive but we don't forget. He would do us a favour by just shutting up and living a quiet life in the village.
