These figures looks odd to me but in your opinion, what do you think has been cooked? Kikuyus are 6.6 but what shocked most of us is the inability of Luo women to give birth and the men to sire with the speed and accuracy of the rest of the groups. I thought in 60s and 70s Luos were second and now they are fourth with Kambas almost catching up. By the next census, Luos will be 5th unless you and other Luo men focus on siring. That nonsense of one or two kids like Obama must stop until other groups reduce the number of children in their households. Anybody who has studied population can tell you that when you have only 2 kids, the population comes to a standstill since one of the children replaces the mother and the other father. The Government has just released the 2009 census results. We are now 38,610,097 people in Kenya. I doubt f they included the diaspora. Breakdown:
MEN: 19.1 Million
WOMEN: 19.4 Million
Kikuyu: 6 Million
Luhya: 5.3 Million
Kalenjin: 4.9 Million
Lup: 4.4 Million
Muslims: 4.3 Million
There were anomalies in some areas especially in North Eastern. The census results in these Districts have been nullified and will be repeated some time soon.
