Re: AMANI THE MUSICIAN- aahhhh

Mwaura l do support you 100%. They lack direction to attach to their
songs, and i.e. why their songs dont last. The classes and age
targeted do not keep on but instead they wait for new hits.
In fact most Kenyan Gospel artists nowadays compete with secular
artists; and this has put gospel music to totally loss its meaning.
Musicians like Mary Ominde, Munishi, Emachichi, Kyande, Tanzanian
Group Gospel singers among them The SDA Choirs cannot be compared to
many young Kenyan Gospel artists.

I am carried by Luo songs. Their wording and instrumental arranging
kills across the Country, if not the whole world. Nowadays, Luos
beats(Ohangla and Benga) are heard in social places and campaign
trails. Even though people might not know what the song is all about;
but they are carried by rythm/instrument arrangements. It's quite
unfortunate that most kenyan artists are in music world to make money
not for education, entertain or leave a legacy.
Have a musical tune! Blessings all. Jose
