Kenyan artistes have grown musically,but i'd rather have in my playlist the music from the 90's, kina 1-2 moja, jimmi Gathu, mercy myra etc. Nowadays i think they are trying too hard to ape the western kind of music apart from Genge(should say it's the original kenyan beat-my opinion though) but the one i could attend his shows anytime of day is Kiddum, he's a very talented dude and his band does an exceptional back up!

Ofcourse the Ogopa beat is something to write home about. She doesnt have a regular place she performs at but she goes round the country, mostly Nakuru and Mombasa but you can sometimes catch her at the Carnivore Nairobi. You shall not be disappointed.
