Re: questioning God!

The bible and any other text whether religious or not were written by
mortals like you and me. Where these texts propose ideas and make
claims about events then we must subject them to scrutiny as any
resposible person should. It is therefore perfectly in order to
question their authenticity and whether the claims they make sense. It
is even more so for religious texts because you will base your life on
their prescriptions.

What you propose suggests that one should be gullible in order to be
religious. Any intelligent person in the present day with access to
information that we have ought to know upon reading the bible that
many of the tales are allegorical and were only intended for people of
the time who were still in the bronze age where information was still
scarce.

I reject your notion that one has to be gullible and unintelligent in
order to be religious.
