Nobody is abusing africans, we are just pointing out what we should have had but we do not have still today despite we being free from slavery and colonialsim for 47 years some countries like Ghana now over 50 years after the colonist left. What you see as a damping place affects the whole of Nairobi and it`s suburbs no matter where you live, whether you live in Lavington or the most expensive place in Nairobi. Simple reason is this all birds which fly to that place does not chose where they go to after that. So to a stupid rich man who lives in a luxurious place in Nairobi who thinks he is safe from any contamination from there is just not intelligent. Kibaki hirings frustrate national unity
Do you think that is a work of an intelligent person?. Even in USA or Europe where there is racism government is not run like that, or anything which afffect majority of voters are not run like Kibaki is ruling Kenya. Kibaki is an african like us so if he is a leader who should potray good image of the country and he is not intelligent what do you expect outisders to say about such a country and her people?. We need to learn and improve but we should not be silent not to point the dark part which have made africans to be salves or colonised. By the way Kibaki is frustrating national unity and that can make any uprising leader to make any dill with the devils or outsiders as we have seen a lot in other african countries. Where aliens support a fraction and destroys a whole country just because of some self centered ego maniac son of a bitch who have the smallest grey matter for thinking. If Africans were doing what Kibaki is now doing then we have all the explanation why africans were easy to be colonised and even sold into slavery. Sorry to say this we have a new constitution but do we have the will and good leaders to realise it?. I doubt that, there goes our intelligent again to the drainage. 2012 might be very gloomy for Kenyans if things are not done correctly and I am afraid any foreign power may have even a direct hand in Kenyan future if we Kenyans does not act intelligently. To be direct, we may be walking towards another colonialisation if things go the way Kibaki is trying to do things today.

We African pride freaks do not doubt that we can do alot to make our lives as Africans better and that we have alot *not all but alot* to learn from our brothers in the West and East. However, my problem with Korirs writings are that instead of stating theories and ideas about better living for Africans *and I fully support your theories and ideas for better living for Africans* the postings are abusing Africans and trying to measure them against standards that dont work in our context. Please read books by Charles dickens and watch movies like Oliver twist, or even go to an archive of a history department University in any European city and you will find that the same problems with dirt, drainage, disease etc existed in Europe and America hundreds of years ago. Give Africans a break. Dont abuse us,gently guide us and show us the way. We need new leaders who will look forward and while noting past injustices like slavery, colonialis, aparthied , racism and so on will devise African ways of providing development and preventing disease. The photos you show are plastic papers.....perhaps the ministry of environment should ban plastic papers and only allow organic degradable paper to be used or encourage the use of the Kikapu of yore......
We need to show Africans that when faced with a crisis , instead of abusing our skin color, we can come together and work for common good. and do something to solve our communal problems as we have always done traditionally in the past.

You are skinning Korir for nothing. Just take time and look some of the pictures my friend Odhiambo Oketch has forwarded about our damping places. Those pictures are speaking a lot on how we africans can just live and pretend not to see anything wrong with our environment. Drainage system and channels was built in Rome hundrends of years a go, infact when Roman empire was still ruling even Egypt, but despite all those there are still flying toilets in Kibera today, that is in a capital city of Kenya. Korir does not need to be luynched for nothing. We Africans have to wake up, that is all Mr. Korir is trying to tell us. We have the richest continent while we die from lack of wealth, diseases, poverty etc. People from other continets enjoy our riches, are we really intelligent?. Look at the minerals africa produce, oil, we produce, the wild lives. But despite all those even our governments are living on handouts. Kenya have all the coast, wild animals, but hotels which generate money are given to aliens. Come on guys let us face it where is that intelligence?. Go to any african schools, universities, colleges whose ideas are being taught or learnt there?. Korir is just trying to make a point. Waking the lion is sometimes very dangerous, but does it mean that the lion is intelligent?. Spare us all the bla, bla, bla, Egypt did this and that those days. Read history well who were ruling Egypt by then?. To make it worse even the present Egyptians does not want to be called africans, haven`t you got it yet?. I do get Korir`s point, instead of pretending that we are intelligent, let us wake up to be intelligent. We have a rich continet, brothers and sisters. We just have to eliminate, Tribalism and stupidity, we will live better than even europeans or asians. Look at even now things about the new constitution, somebody is still trying to introduce, Chief, Do, PC, etc even when the draft is saying the opposite, Why?. Somebody is trying to consolidate power somewhere for exploitation. Instead of doing something good an african will do the opposite and you still call such a person intelligent, what is wrong with us?.
