Harry if you believe the bible is not true, then you are free to go and read quran for Muslims, kitabu akida for bahais or other spiritual books.   The fact that you like referring to the bible exhibits your living in denial. You are like those Muslim street preachers who instead of reading the quran and preach to people what the quran says, they instead read the bible and point out how some Christians are not doing what the bible says.  If there is any sin in your life which you are living in denial with and must defend it against all ethics, there is hope as Jesus loves you and will accept you back. The story of Jonah climaxes with Jonah being swallowed by a big fish, and staying in the stomach of that fish for three days and nights. In the water, Jonah was swallowed by a great fish. Three days in the belly of the fish gave Jonah time reflect on his rebellion and to repent. He prayed and asked God for help. He had decided to follow God's command. Jonah 2:1-9 The idea that God had was to give Jonah time to reflect on his rebellion, and he thought the best place was a whales stomach. First thats not so bright...but anyway, lets appreciate some facts. No whale is big enough to swallow an adult sized person besides a blue whale which eat krill which are the size of shrimp. And no whale was big enough 2000 years ago either. The last thing you would do in any stomach would be to reflect on anything. Stomachs contain all sorts of things, including enzymes and other juices with very specific functions. How one would possibly reflect on his actions in a biological stomach is impossible. But am sure you want to argue that God is the one who instructed the whale, and therefore it is something we can't possibly question. If this is the case, then it lends credence to the fact that this is one of the many mythical stories of the Bible.
