Do not Vilify Kivuitu,The Centre could not Hold ( Attn.Mr.Mburi).

Dear all.

I find it quite unwelcome to point fingers at one Hon.Kivuitu to a national calamity that all of us found ourselves in yet its The Center That Did not Hold.

@Mr.Mburi,what litmus paper have you used to weigh kivuitu against the various personalities that ICC is looking towards for facilitation to realize its objectives, and the covenants kenya entered to cooperate in leave alone being a signatory to the statues and or conventions thereto.

King Nebcardnezzar saw some writings on the wall that read;-Mene Mene Mene,Tekel Peres.Dan 5:27

Tekel - This word  means "weighed." It would be used with reference to anything placed in a balance to ascertain its weight; and hence, like the word "measure," would denote that the extent, dimensions, true worth, or character of anything was ascertained. As by the use of scales the weight of anything is known, so the word is applied to any estimate of character or of actions, and a balance becomes the emblem of justice. Thus God, in his judgments of men, is represented as "weighing" their actions. 1Sa_2:3, "the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed." Compare Job_6:2 :
"O that my grief were thoroughly weighed,And my calamity laid in the balances together."

Job_31:6 :"Let me be weighed in an even balance,That God may know mine integrity."

The balance thus used to denote judgment in this life became also the emblem of judgment in the future state, when the conduct of men will be accurately estimated, and justice dealt out to them according to the strict rules of equity. The declaration of the prophet, 'Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting!' must have appeared exceedingly awful to them.

In view of the above,i hereby present my view on what happened that will qualify the center to blame as opposed to Hon.Kivuitu.

1.On or around the year 2002,Gallup,a research outfit carried out a research that indicated kenyans as the most optimistic country in the whole while. They look towards new things only to be disappointed by actors.

Change was chanted in the streets for long, with desperate kenyans voting for NARC overwhelmingly on the grounds of fighting corruption, creation of 500,000 jobs among other things. Its debatable on what was achieved.

2.Increased democratic space! Whatever democracy is,it was felt that free talk as seen in many talk shows and registration of more political parties was a sign of democracy.Kibaki wont mind you speaking what you want,as time went by,expectations on what is spoken found no answer, the handlers were being blamed for that matter.

The media highlights skyrocket with our peculiar mobile use habits, information was everywhere about who is meeting who where. When results trickled at the KICC,The media reporting tallied what various sms had reported everywhere from the tallying centers that did not agree with what Kivuitu had been given - at one moment he thought of releasing results in the presence of military arsenals. At some stage,he pointed that his officials could not be reached, and were busy cooking results.

3.Political Party stakeholders forums.I find it difficult to settle on how mature we are as a country in spite of multpartysm we fought for.Political parties as stakeholders had opportunities to outdo one another in preparations defeating the very purpose for which they were counted as stakeholders.

By September 2007,PNU was struggling to form and swallow other parties that caused its disintegration. Its the party the president settled with when one Charity Kaluki could not step aside for her one time Dp ally.

4.Agwambo had a team fit for a world cup encounter sourced across the country that created a campaign never seen before. The opposite could not stomach that one Kiraitu realized too late that had to ask the Gema team to vote 100% or forsake the presidency in favour of Agwambo.

5.Synovate,then Steadman research group failed to explain the scientific fall of Raila on one hand and the rise of Kibaki in opinion polls that a little earlier saw Agwambo leading by over 60% with the balance going for both Kibaki and Kalonzo.

6.Outcries about possible rigging had rented the air that by the time we voted, people had fixed their mind on the winner. The contrary could not be sustained.

7.ICC is currently demanding for some minutes that seen as state machinery - the response to the same is contrary.Look, who is Michuki,Kimemia,Gichangi, and Kianga, and surely tell us who is to blame compared to kivuitu.

8.Spontaneous reaction!Whether youths were hired or acted spontaneously, one needs to understand how ready was our state functionalism on security matters. From the reports that be ( plz refer to Hon.Waki and Kriegler reports). Then the youths themselves, isnt this their country! Why were they "bought" or why did they act spontaneously!

9.Recent court petitions saw many irregularities though some can be blamed on the Defunct ECK,The various Commissioners and clerks were at the ground to handle professionally to check any anomaly that could jeopardize the vote exercise.

10.You refused Kivuitu to go home.By November 2007,everybody was appealing to kibaki to renew kivuitus tenure to handle the elections. This followed a very successful 2005 referendum that saw the birth of ODM-K,and ODM parties.

Given the above, add any other factor thereto, you will find Kivuitu innocent of allegations the powers that be are to shoulder.
