Well as we discuss this issue lets remember not all that greeters is gold. When the modern religion came to Africa, these guys were hand in hand with colonialists. They started hospitals, gave mordern medicine, destroyed our natural forest where our traditional healers used to get herbs from, and said all that belongs to blacks is as black. They lebeled everything as sin. The traditional healers became sinners, they brought valueless trees and took away our valuable trees. Today we see things are reversing. They have accepted herbalists and so many other things have been accepted and no more sins. You wonder, isn't the same God. One thing is a sin today and that same thing is not a sin tomorrow. When i was young, wearing a skirt with slit was a sin, hot combing the air was a sin, a woman wearing a trouser or earrings was a sin. Today the preachers are the chief wearers of all those things which were sins.
Today garlic is one of the best antibiotics found in families without going to the hospitals, in addition it is known of lowering bad cholesterol and so many other advantages. People are really using alot of garlic for treatment of sore throat because of its antibiotic effect. In mordern pharmacology books you will find all these herbs yet in those days if you were caught using these herbs it would be the last day you took sacrament in church because you would be a sinner.

Ah,
Millie, but these are the same people who preceeded the colonialists who wreck havoc on Africa that we have never recovered from. How come they never fought slave trade which was happening right under their noses by their governments and yet they were
"preaching salvation?"
They came with the Bible to pray, we closed our eyes holding onto our spears, bows and arrows, when we openned our eyes, we had the Bible, they had the guns, and slave trade and colonization begun!!!
But they continued "preaching the word of God" ifnoring both colonization, the rape of Africas resources and the inhuma slave trade, for how long??????

The theory you are extending here is unfortunate.
The spread of Christianity in Africa was not to indoctrinate our minds but to bring salvation. To spread the gospel which is purely the birth, death and ressurection of our Lord Jesus.

There are details in this article that are pointing in a certain direction and that is "indoctrination". In this article it is claimed that Christianity is the Worlds largest religion. This actually is not true. The truth is; Budhism, far outsrips Christianity in numbers. More than half of the worlds population lives in Asia. And about 95% of them are Budhists. Out of the remaining 45%, almost 20% ascribe to the Islamic faith while the remaining 25% would be taken to be Christians. Therefore the statement that attributes Christianity to be the largest religion is not correct.
Further to this the greater part of Europe, long lost faith in Christianity. The places where Christianity is still strong, is Africa and South America. This is because the religion was exported there from elswhere to be used to indoctrinate the minds of the people living in these Continents, after the Europian Concquest that robbed the people of their dignity. Christianity was therefore used to indoctrinate their minds so that they could never think of rebelling and going back to their old ways of life.
