Kenyans pay KACC billions of shillinngs and they have a right to know what the commission is doing with it in fighting corruption. Who is this Mrs. so and so you are talking about? How can someone in Turkana or Busia reach her and know what is going on? Are you hoarding the information? We have a vibrant media and the commission should use it to tell Kenyans what it is doing instead of asking us to go to some overfed and over-paid bureaucrat in some dark office to know what is going one. Admit failure and give chance to other qualified kenyans to do the job.

Whether PLO is using a different strategy or not, he is slowly failing the public trust. Strategies are also suppposed to be made public so that we know that KACC is a dopting a more aggressive strategy to bring those who stole to justice. Didnt i read that KACC has been given power to prosecute - a number of the pending cases have enough evidence. We are not only interested in arresting them, but we need recovery process. We need to see action against corruption and not press conferences and fundraising from donors.
 
We are questioning what PLO has done after taking over - atleast he was give handpover and no change over was expected immediately.
 
Kenyans have done a lot in curbing corruption but ewhen the HEAD of a fish is corrupt the whole body becomes corrupt. Just read the CORRUPTION INDEX from the world competitive report and clearly see that Kenya is rated just like Zimbambwe.....PLO MUST MOVE AND ACT...moreover we need a balanced approach BIG and SMALL, YELLOW and WHITE FISH brought to justice.

Mary,

This is where we all get it wrong.
It does not necessarily mean that because its not in the media we are not doing anything.
Please visit our offices and in particular Economic Investigation Department and ask for a Mrs. Omedo.
She will give you the tally of all cases they have handled and how many prosecutions they have managed.
Its just a different strategy that we have approached.
