politics has to be dirty. The politicians have to paint everyone in
their colors - he's dirty, he's not gonna change anything, he's like
all of us, rather, we are better than that one, here comes a youngman
with hopes - we will smother him become like us and he will not
remember those people that elected him.
No matter how hard we try to behave differently, we are being pulled
backwards by the media and stupid politicians. The media failed to
tell people that Mike Sonko is a bad person before he went into
office. Now that he's in office, lets respect that the people of
Makadara know he will deliver. Its the people of Makadara that know
which leader to choose, may be its our lifestyle in the Eastlands,
don't blame us for electing one of our own. Mike represents how we
think, dress, ride or even talk in Eastlands. As they say in Eastlands
- coming to the eastlands is hard, leaving is even harder once you get
used to the eastlandick way of life. Here, everyone is a friend, even
your local thug, mungiki or prostitute that ply their trade in other
upmarket estates. We drink together, we just do so many things
together and we don't judge anyone, kwa sababu tunapendana. Living in
eastlands improves improves your communication skills, your worldview
and your industry. Mwai Kibaki (our first MP), Tom Mboya and other
great leaders plied their trade in the eastlands.
So lets leave Sonko alone, lets get down to business. If you don't
like the chap, pole, you had a chance to do something, unfortunately,
it was Makadara people's chance to elect someone that best represents
their interests, and that was Mike Sonko. Can't we give him a break,
really?
