Re: MILLIE ODHIAMBO & SHEBESH NEED TO CHANGE HAIR DRESSERS

Remind him that women the fake the O to please the men and they should be the last one to complain. If they were told the truth, they would die of embarrassment and Ernest should not use something which can be used against us by women. One day he will meet a woman who is truthful and he will hate her when she welcomes him yet it is time for him to bid kwaheri (as in come in yet he is already inside the house).

Millie,

You got it all wrong. We do not hate. We love our Kenyan women when they are their real self without fake additions. Fake hair gives the impression that that person is not true to themselves. In other words they are hiding something So she would like to camouflage herself to look different from the person she truly is.

The alternative angle is that " the person subconsciously feels inferior in the presence of others"; and for this reason they will wear the wigs to make them feel that "after all they are also adequate." This is the reason they go to great lengths to put on these Makonge, "Human Hair (hair that has been removed from other women from the Kashmir region between India and Pakistan) and or other dead white Women", or dead horsetail. In other situations the Hair comes in a manufactured plastic form. What then happened to the lovely African hair Afro? Why cant our women wear their hair naturally as was given to them by the creator??????? What is this struggle, to near death, to make the Hair look "straight" like that of a Caucasian person??
Women take three months without washing their hair all in the pretext of maintaining straight, Curls, or Weaves, or a sewed Wig. Why??? Why???and Why??????

For me, I love my woman more when she wakes up in the morning;------No make up, No artificial makonge on her head, No fake eye lashes, no "Clothes". That is when she is at her best and I would exchange her for nothing in this world for her at that time. After this and when she is done with the shower and dresses up she becomes someone, I cannot recognize. I accept her this way because of professionalism, but that is not the woman that  makes my heart melt down;.... The one that I wake up with is the  one who melts my heart.

I think no African woman and particularly Kenyan Lady should feel inferior ever.

Have a lovely day full of self pride. Jivunie na your natural self.

Jagem

Thats their style, no one should live upto anyones dictates wherever the style is copied. The hairstyles make them happy that is what is important. The are violating no ones rights as far as am concerned.

You hate them Nyongesa, they are missing no sleep. There are those who love them the way they are. AND Just like i hear ladies here argue about the right to dress the way they feel most comfortable in irrespective of what others think, so is it equal to hair dressing. Its called style.

There are things i dislike in life but never will i hate a person for what i dislike, so Nyongesa, when you say "You hate them to date," thats being extreme. Hairstyles change. then will you love them?

Who says everyone will love you or must love you? Does it matter whether you hate them or not? Lets learn to live with diversity comfortably. This business of hating people is a total waste of emotions and detrimental to ones emotional maturity. I find persons who hate to be people who honestly need help.

WHY HATE!!!!!!!!!!!

Simplicity is best foundation and most comfortable tool one has to
consider in life. When l brought to Nairobi  for 1st time; l used to
admire ladies' hair make-ups, l never knew that they artificial till
one day as l was on patrol mission with a friend l found some hairs on
display in a shop at Pangani. On inquiry, l was shocked to be told
that they are sold to people and worn on head!

I hate them to date! I pray God to give me a 'natural' wife who values
what God put on her in a special way. I like people like Graca Machel,
Ann(UN Habitat), Ngilu & all muslim women who follow dressing code of
their religion; they are natural women and leaders who can be emulted.
