Linet, I think this is simplistic thinking, that is what the new law says, if any public officer is accused of anything of criminal nature, they have to step aside or be suspended. There would be no reason to pass new laws like we did during the referendum and begin by defeating the implementation. I think we are the worst enemies of Kenya because we expect compromises on basis of political expediency and arrangements, look how you are looking at it, 2012!!! Would it not be great to begin somewhere, where we have never begun in all the 47 years since independence? You still want status quo where a Minister of public servant accussed of impropriety screams arrogantly, "I will not resign??" Common, be the change agent Kenya needs, not those with narrow prisms. I think both Principals have done what Kenyans expect of them. I guess if they did not, Linet would be part of those saying, "nothing will ever change in Kenya". We expect Wetangula to follow suit if he is found culpable in the Japan Embassy fraud and any other public official going forward. The Ruto case has set a precedence and Ministers and public officers will now not wait, arrogantly spewing "I will not resign blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda", instead of going to court to clear their names.
