Is this Kidawida or what? You make me miss Mwatate and Wundanyi. I could borrow kadhalika those days but now not even water can be borrowed in Kidawida. I have never seen so many churches in my life like those in Taita. I think one of the most religious community. And the names are only second to those of Nigerians and Luos-Hope, Faith, Sunday, April, Suicide, Resurrection, Pirate, Holy, Monday, Friday, Tomorrow, Weekend na kadhalika.

John K,Even during the time of Jesus, not all were healed. There were many sick people in Israel. But that does not mean that others were not healed. You prayed for 10+ years for healing without success. i prayed and my weak sight was restored. In 2000AD. Today is 2010. My sight is still okay. Just as it had become when God healed me.True God makes the lame and the blind. It is also true that He makes the the ones that can see and walk. If HE can create you, He can also heal you. He can also decide not to. He is Almighty, remember.Pray again. Admit that you are powerless. Admit that He is ALL POWERFULL. Accept His LOVE. Believe. Trust in Him. Do not set Him timelines. For some it may be instantaneous healing, for others, it takes time. You need to have faith in God. God healed me of Ulcers, i prayed and He did it. I know of a child who had a hole in her heart and God healed her, sealed that hole. There are many many more, God has healed, in churches, crusades, in their houses while alone, or people whom God has prayed for over the internet, radio, TV, name it. His healing power is very much evident in our days. God is all Powerful and there is nothing that is impossible in Him, only trust Him, that He is able to do it.

For 10+ years(that's when I used to believe in god) I pleaded with God to heal my teeth, and for 10+ years he ignored me completely, as if i did not pray - makes me wonder about that verse in the bible where Jesus asks ( I paraphrase) - "how many of you, if your son asks for bread you will give him stone?". I have lost many teeth at a tender age. This is what I believe:prayer brings a very short lived 'feel good' feeling and an emotional relaxation.
All ye that believe in prayer healing, did you read that article in the DN couple of months ago about the congregants that pleaded with God to resurrect their pastor? Did you even imagine that god could do that? You try pray for healing (for yourself or others) and let the group know the results
God makes the lame and the blind - he makes them! thats what the bible says. He even makes the horses blind, according to the scriptures! Man! thats mean.

yes, healing through prayer is true. i think there's a combination of factors, apart from just believing, e.g. for Lazarus to be raised, (Christian Teachings) he was dead, so he could not believe, and his quoted sister was doubtful. And Jesus prayed for that miracle for the sake of the curious on lookers who had gathered; in another instance, Jesus performs a miraculous healing, and sends of the recipient with the words "....your faith has made you well..." and the disciples of Jesus could not cast out a demon from a boy; Jesus explained to them that "....that kind goes way only by prayer and fasting..." the early apostles have also documented the practice of use of anointing oil and laying on of hands by Spiritual Leaders to sick people.
MIRACULOUS HEALING IS TRUE, It's primary function is to give glory to God (to bring out a very positive evidence of God's existence, and His great concern for people).

Healing comes to us as a divine provision from God.The bible says that God sent
