Does the Bible give a factual account of who JESUS was?

Does it give us a detailed account of the life of the man JESUS, and not the Son of God Jesus? Do we know about his childhood, his private life? Or are we supposed to assume that the Bible is what it is and not questions?

To me, the Bible depicted Jesus as a miracle boy, whose life was full of purity, wisdom and uniqueness. But in the process, we know very little about him.
