Re: Peter Munya abandons NO camp!!!!!_ Great. Let's soldier on into the Green land of Kenya

Kibaya,
Sure. Sawa kabisa.
Lets meet at Debe. if we humble the YES, we meet again in this forum to chart the way forward in constitutionalism. If YES beats us, we join them in decidng the fate of kenyans and get ready to be taxed more so as to pay for 394Mps and 47 governors and 47 Senators. But after all, we will not loose much, coz i can re-call my Mp in 2.5yrs and also run for an elective position anyway. And we also start benefiting from the 99yr lease for the Kericho tea estates and demand our rightful ancetsral land after our forefathers were maimed and expelled from fertile grounds!!!!!infact RV  benefits more from this document

VOTE NO

Buiywo,
Well spokent; tell them! You have to read between the lines in this game and not interprete the news reports by their letter. Yes, the clamor for and Against the PC is going on but campaigns and re-alignments for 2012 are running concurrently.

The Munya, Jamleck Kamau and even Michuki cases are all cases of blatant coercion and intimidation. In Munya and Kamau's cases, their 2012 opponents are waiting in the wings to join kina Uhuru's Yes columns with a view of exploiting the alliances come 2012. For fear of getting fired (Munya's case) and offending valuable allies, they succumb and sometimes make idiots of themselves as they cross over. How does somebody like Munya, a supposedly 'learned friend', who participated in the this whole process from Naivasha, Kabete and Parliament; had serious reservations about the draft, now turn around and say he has changed his mind coz the issues he had have been 'explained' away?

Both camps are also being lied to by the wananchi and each side believes they're ahead.

Sample this: I enquired from my contacts, very close to the Meru Yes Campaign Chairman about the mood on the ground and this is what I got:  "Tigania is YES and by the way Munya defected to YES and was received by Uhuru at a rally in Muriri. He said he has now understood the goods  in the new constitution so you better join the winning team. The tharaka councillors were bought with only 50,000 a piece. I am sure they will vote Yes and they will be bought a couple of times before 4th August. Hon. Kilemi will be at the mikinduri rally so urge your supporters to vote wisely".

Now, how can Tigania be all YES when even the president conceded that there is hostility in Meru North, where Tigania lies?
You also see I'm being advised to urge my supporters to vote 'wisely' meaning?? Can a prospective candidate afford to offend the Raila, Kalonzo, Ruto or Uhuru axis and survive local elections?...
Ndebe ndio itaamua hii maneno, but I'm told central could be 50:50, which gives the NO team a fair chance.

Kibaya
NOW YES (wisdom so dictates!)

Dear Ndugu Otieno,
my brother i believe you must have learned or read about politics or atleast once campaigned if you once happened to be a campus student. what we are currentlyu experiencing by the defections in the NO camp is nothing but a blatant survival tactic. If you remembver very well in 2007 when Uhuru decamped from KANU to PNU while being the KANUY  chairman so that he could re-capture his seat of Gatundu South. the same is happening here for fear of loosing out in 2012. Jamleck Kamau might have hinted the possibility of lossing out and thats why as neutral kenyans we ask ourselves if our leaders are really keen on KATIBA or 2012. to me i see a culmionation opf 2012 polkitics thats shaping the pattern. More are even to defetc from YES To NO  and vice versa for fear of being seen as betrayers by their constituenst or else they loose relevance in the eyes of their constituenst. For your info Sally Kosgei, Henry , Magerer Langat, Dr. Laboso and Mrs. Kones are yet to make a standing in the few days to come. Watch this space!!!!

Dear, Otieno Sungu, Chief Monitoring General of "the NO defections"

This news of defectors is the sweetest and greatest news in this journey of constitution revolution. We however must make sure the events are well covered by mass media and that the defectors are given clear tasks to bring their followers with them.
As a strategy we should accord them some respect and make them feel at home in the land of Green. Make them visible. Make them winners and NOT Losers

Green is the indeed the better option or it is the Only Option. Please keep pushing the green agenda until 7th August, 2010 when the verdict is provided

Yes great news and feel but let's remain fully alert and vigilant in the push for turning the country completely green. Yes we collectively have what it takes to it. Yes let's make it Happen.

Have a green weekend as we continue with the green struggle and revolution.

Subject: Peter Munya abandons NO camp!!!!!

I predicted that this will be a week of fireworks!! After the GREEN light hit John Michuki, Jamleck Kamau and many clergymen, I said here the wave of those abandoning the anti reformist will escalate as we get to the homestretch and they are many ready to GO GREEN!!!

Now latest news is that another NO MP has decamped after seeing RED in his swim against the tide. With opinion polls from all the three respected pollsters indicating that YES is headed to a massive win, NO defectors are falling over themselves to join the reforms crusade and salvage their names, the clergy have not been left behind as well as they scram after their flock who long left them in the NO bandwagon with the anti reformist of the 1990s.

The coming week will even be hotter for the leading anti reformists as they increasingly find themselves isolated and aboandoned, a great result of intensive civic education. Our feelers on the ground indicate a major concesion by clergy could be in the offing before Agust 4th to save face and ensure they do not loose the remaining credibility. You will be kept posted by the GREEN Team Think Tank on these blogs that is very much in touch with the ground and the YES coordinating Team.

This is where the tyre meets the road, where the reformers are sieved from the anti reformers. Keeping you posted as we turn GREEN all over, in reforms, there is NO point seeing RED!!!!.
