One of the things I have always found boring with human beings is the many monotonous form of greetings like, 'How are you?'. 'Are you normal?', 'I like your nose' etc. You'll always get the affirmative answer even when one is boiling from within. And so I have given up with the mindless business of greeting people. Nevertheless, you all know about this friend of my who calls himself Omondi. I told you about his wedding in the last few moons. I am still not able to pronounce his Christian name which has eleven characters. I have made countless attempts. The pronunciation borders something close to which the Greek gods used to communicate to each other on when the dinner was ready. The same applies to his Omondi Jnr and the new born baby girl. Allow me not to write here for the fear of being overwhelmed with shame.
Omondi is a husband and a father. He tells me that it's not that easy to be both. At the moment, he is not fairing all too well especially on the side of being a father. The idea of becoming a father is one that he was not prepared for. That it just happened is a good excuse for all his current predicaments. He is the kind who fear trying and therefore making mistakes. Omondi Jnr has become very inquisitive in matters related to sex. Three factors are influencing the little thug - the peers, Tv and the natural order. Every evening, he has a story to tell and so seek further clarifications on what his peers meant. Take for instance, last Friday, he asked the father why women have some big swellings on their chests and not men. Instead of answering, he requested him to ask the mother. And so the mother have had to answer most of the questions.
On Saturday, he took the boy out for a walk. On their way back home, they came across a group of dogs mating. Omondi Jnr, was really excited to see the dogs climbing on each other. The father explained to him that that is one of the most popular dog's play where they climb on each other and the one on top tries to push the one under and if moved then the one on top wins. The boy was convinced and suggested that he will introduce the game at school to his playmates come Monday. The father objected and explained that it's only dogs that are allowed to play the game. Almost everyday, there's a sex related question and the situation is catalyst by the media more specifically the TV.
Omondi knowing all too well that I can be trusted to give a solution to any problem under the sun, leaned on me. He fears that it's too early for his six years old boy to know much about sex. He fears that he may mis-advise his beloved son and heir. See, I don't understand why parents should shy from teaching their children proper sex education hard as it may seem. Tell them what they deserve to know not what they want to know. This will greatly help them make the right decisions.

-The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new dark age - The Call of Cthulhu
