Pursuing Economic Duality as Kenya embarks on devolution system of governance

They say when a bell has been rung it cannot be unrung,The event of 27th August has rung and there is nothing we can do to reverse it.

My point will be captured in the message below

Its was great jubilation and excitement as thousands and thousands of Kenyans thronged and braved a chilly Friday morning to usher in a new Kenya or  second republic so to write/speak

Everyone was so happy that they even forgot to notice a wanted criminal amidst them; it is only after the event was over but it was too late.

The new constitution has enshrined Bill of Rights, thus effectively making the following to be recognized

The right to own property in any part of Kenya, right to reside and stay anywhere in Kenya, right to freedom of speech ,not forgetting  freedom of pulpit or worship ,freedom of information access.

Even freedom of security agencies picketing

It is in public domain that economic growth and development in Kenya has been growing sluggishly slow at merely 3-4% hence the impatience of majority who has a belief that by changing one regime by another will help solve the issue.

It holds true for a literary person who will tremble at sight of a mathematical symbol and this is partly what our education system achieved -mass production of candidates without impacting quality ideas that will help them develop cognitive, analytical, futuristic, and many other skills.

It is from this misconception or false hope that a few witty leaders with support from poor wanjikus crafted a new path just from thin air naming it economic devolution to be a dose that will solve malignant tumors we have in Kenya  ,or Makmende movement  that will solve our social, political and economic problems instantly but I  stand to be counted that this plan is poorly expended.

However is only a fool who never change his mind, for me to the contrary, I will join the bandwagon

When Israelites were being oppressed in Egypt under Pharaohs rule, came Moses, who led Israelites to escape Egypt  at night and embarked on wilderness Journey to promised lands.

They had great hope and ambitions that reaching Canaan all they miseries will be solved instantly

It is written in the holy book that their vision was marred on the way and they lost reaching Canaan.

I hope brother Harry could come up with a great reason why Israelites never reached Canaan.

Economic duality is just like Albert Einstein Theory of Relativity –most of us have wondered why when we are in a moving vehicle and you look outside through the window you will notice trees also moving but strangely in opposite direction at same speed.

Under new Constitution we are going to put resources at grassroots, also we are going to share equally 15% of National Revenues to all counties.

However when I try to fit my theory of Economic Duality in how Kenya will be in 2030 or 2050 in terms of development sadly I get a dim hope that this journey could become a mirage and a disappoint to many if we don't work very fast on putting proper devolution structures and framework policies in place and also increase awareness, forums, civic awareness on both prospects and challenges of new economic devolution programs.

It is documented else about economic theories that existed but all in the entire world witnessed Great Depression in 1930s, currently global financial crisis 2009.

The hardest thing is getting factual facts because they are hard to establish hence we mostly rely on opinions from which we try hard to extract facts and by time we establish facts new events are already in play, just making us in perpetual search of hard facts

This is a call to all Kenyans to develop cohesion and innovations principles within ourselves so that we make Kenya a better place for generations

My idea of economic duality in Kenya will stand as a milestone to help all Kenyans understand that for this nation to develop we must strictly observe and remain hard working nation, build principal of unduguhood, establish moral ethics in our families, schools, working places and more so ruthlessly fight corruption, but most important elect leaders who are leaders and not goons.

We must put pressure on our leaders to delivery if not we use our carrot and stick-Recall Clause

Merit should be our shield and rewarding success but punishing self-seekers and tribalism jingoists

And that is why I pen off by saying we have to embrace economic duality for second republic lest we fall again

Next I will look at economic duality and Health Care System in Kenya
