Hi

This man using UoN address, please I beg you to use your common sense when sending emails to this forum. We are not going to deal with  UoN, as it is not aperson. But an institution. The other time we got an email from Coptic Hospital and it was discovered to be a kwack, so let me not have that second thought this is the same person.

Secondly, dont be vague when you are posting things that are weighty, you as aperson seems to have not gone beyond University of Nairobi, to come here and start lecturing us on what goes on in Darfur, please ask any Kenyan who has worked in Darfur to tell you the true story of what goes on there before you come up with this kiind of crap. It does not matter whether you are aluding that people will criticise you or not and you were right in your thinking because you knew pretty well that it was complete nonsense. Your arguement is purely library based.

Howere, have you ever heard of a government militia called Janja Weid who are operating under the guise of Khartoum Government,  dont talk of theories you are reading in the news papers. You need to get facts right and you can be told the true picture. Try to know the history of Darfur and why Bashir is killiing those poeple. For any happening, there  must be underlying factors tthat contribute to such actions being taken such people. There is something the Darfurians refused that can not be done. Dont bring issues of oil as if you were there but only reading papers. Sometimes, i feel very un easy with these kinds of brains, who want to justify attrocities being metted against fellow human beings with stereotype thinking.

Be carefull, I have witnessed it all and dont remind of it as I feel offended to hear such sentiments particulalry when i remember how people were butchered in Khoroma, Edjad Siid, Kass, Abukarinka, Assylaya, Adila and many other places in Darfur.

Take it back with you and re-evaluate what you want us to hear.

To begin with, Kikwete was not at the function, Bashir is not Mohamed but Omar. It is unfortunate that most Kenyans see thigs from a Western perspective to become the potential "western parrots". As intellectuals we have to analyse the Darfur case carefully and avoid falling into the quagmire. I certainly know that many of you will be furious but, let's get our facts right. The was between Bashir and the West is due to Oil. The Sudan oil was discovered by an American company and due to their exploitation tendecies Bashir gave the tender to a Chinese firm. As intellectuals, i ask guys to make thei own conclusions. Do we remember saddam we were told he has WMD - Weapons of Mass Destruction, but until he was nyogwaed by the Americans te WMD had not been discovered.

The Sudan leader was in Kenya today - one of the dignitaries to witness the promulgation of the new constitution. Meanwhile, Mohamed el Bashir is still a wanted man by the ICC for genocide in Darfur.

As signatories to the ICC Laws and given that our constitution (old and new) has included ratified international laws as part of our governing law,

(a) should we have invited el Bashir at all?
(b) while here, were we not under obligation to arrest him and hand him over to the Hague and
(c) what then is our foreign policy with regard to Darfur?

Anyone?
