This is our situation. My sister is driving from Karura to Nairobi
and on reaching Gachie a matatu is packed in the middle of the road.
As she tries to avoid the matatu she hits a lady who was walking on
the side of the road. She immediately stops, picks the lady and rushes
her to the nearest hospital having first reported at the local police
post. At the hospital the doctor says its just the thigh that was hit
and gives her an injection and painkillers. My sister pays the bill,
drops the lady and leaves. The next day the lady goes for checkup and
is told the blood that has 'clotted' in that area will clear on its
own but she is now asking for Shs.10000 for the time she won't be able
to go on her daily errands as she is limping. What do we do?
