Re: Urgent matter: A police Officer plants bhang on Mwaura and charges

Why don't we on this forum take this as a test case and help the young man and in the meanwhile involve KACC in investigating this? This is a case of extreme impunity that we as Kenyans should not accept. Is there a lawyer on this forum willing to take this case?

Courage,
Maurice

Dear comrade,
Manjiri village is in shock after polite young man called Charles Mwaura had a fight in a pub with someone who turns out to be a police officer, the person called on help from other police who came and arrested Mwaura on arrival at Manjiri Police Station the police officers planted on him 5 rolls of bhang and charged him with possession of bhang. Mwaura does not and has never smoked bhang or even a cigarrette. The family is shocked and even as we are scared because we think if we say soemthing this police can plant cases on us. The cops here arrest people and get money from them. Mwaura is known in the village as a polite boy and even the person who he works for is willing to go to court and testify but we just where to start as here in the village there is no who know knows how things are working in court. There are many people who were in the pub and they say they just started arguing on something and then it changed to holding shirts and the police officer called in help and he was arrested. The police officer here have been doing such things and no one challenges them. Charles is a law abiding citizen, he is also active member of our village debates and we are asking for your help to save him from unfair trial.
