Security forces should be civil and act with restraint!!!

Even as we appeal to all Kenyans to vote in peace and maintain peace post referendum, let us not forget that at times the security forces are the ones that aggrevate situations by acting with excessive force and making situations which could otheriwise not degenerate into chaos to turn into such.

It is my appeal to the Police Commissioner Mathew Iteere and his Spokesman Erick Kiraithe to assure the nation that police will be vigilant but maintain a polite mien when dealing with situations that may seem a little out of character.Unfortunate situations like seen in Kisumu in 2007 when security forces butchered innocent poeple should not happen again. Let them control any situation without resorting to violence themselves.

Much of all this is just being careful though there should not be any cause for alarm. The whole of Kenya, from Nyanza to Coast, Earten to Rift Valley will vote peacefully.

We have come from far in this journey together and we have learnt a lot since 2007, especially the youth.

Otieno Sungu.
Kenya Mpya Pamoja!!!!!!
